HELP FIND KENDALL’S TALL BIKE!

June 12, 2011

Get the word out!!!

As of Sunday morning, June 12th, Kendall’s tall bike has been stolen. He built and welded this bicycle himself. As you can see, the tallbike is two black cruiser frames welded together with white wall tires. Sweet-Dick Kendall will build a custom tallbike for whoever finds it!

MARSHALL STREET AND THE END OF MAY

May 30, 2011

Becky, Kendall, Malcolm, Gene, and Rocky cleaned Marshall St. on Sunday, May 29th. After picking up trash bags at Goshen Mart, we found the street and sidewalks littered with packing peanuts and shards of glass, but now it looks better than ever! See for yourself:

OUR NEWEST MEMBER! (ALAN)

April 28, 2011

Before kicking off the tweed ride, we all met up at Posi HQ and called for a meeting on the roof. Kieffer snuck up and passed around the stein full of Legend as per club ‘tradition’ as we invited our first prospect, Alan, into The Saddle Sores. He accepted!

Welcome to the club, Alan!

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE RACE

April 25, 2011

Sunday the 17th, Holly Street Park, it was warm and sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky. 37 racers cast dice to determine which way they’d start, and from there they made their way to 6 out of 12 possible locations to journey through, all stops being true to the nature of CYOA novels.

The following photographs are courtesy Chelsea Wendell:

End Standings:

  1. John Kruegler
  2. Jake Gordon (ROTA)
  3. Tim Lamb
Most Adventurous: Stu Louder, who stopped at all 12 locations!
DFL: Will Metcalf (Skull Bong Rules Earth)

All said and done, we raised $675 and change between CYOR and The Safety Dance for Richmond Bike Polo.

Thanks to everyone for coming out!

THE SAFETY DANCE

April 25, 2011

What better way to kick off the end of Bike Week than with a Dance Party at Cellar Door?

Many thanks to all the DJs who performed: Shmohawxx, Support HOZ, Futch Cassidy, and Phil. (ROTA, pictured above)

Jedi Mike spearheading the raffle, props to the guy who won the Velocity Rim hula-hoop contest.

Congratulations and thank you to all who joined us! Ride with lights!

NOT-A-RAMA

April 25, 2011

The Saddle Sores had a blast at the Cutthroat’s ‘Not-a-Rama’ scavenger hunt. Mike, Gene, Malcolm, Alan, Kieffer, and Becca all were able to compete this time around. We were also fortunate enough to have Sarah from Seagull Bags (Columbus, Ohio) and Matt Siegel (a local hero) on our team. We spent the greater part of the day racing around the city and looking for items on the manifest. We ended up taking second place thanks to Joelle’s lightning-fast hands. (1st went to our friends in ROTA – Congrats, guys!) and a big thank you to Cutthroats Bicycle Club always holding it down in Richmond! Here are some pics:
