Saddle Sores Bike Club Bike Safety Dance Party was a huge hit. We raised $422 and we’re excited to say that RideRichmond has raised enough money to achieve their Non-Profit status!! This is great news.

A $3-5 suggested donation got you a $35 bike light and a raffle ticket. We raffled off 2 complete bikes, taillights, headlamps, and balaclavas. Stay warm and safe out there!

Here are some photos from the event:

Some cutie-Sores, Malcolm and Becky.

Thanks to the DJs who performed and kept sick beats dropping all night: VKNG, Shmohawxx (Featuring our Malcolm, pictured above), and Beat Down the Kid! (Pictured below.)

The place was packed! Bouncers at Cellar Door had to turn people away…

Who the fuck was Yoshi? LOL

Thanks to everyone who came out! We love you guys!

DOING OUR PART

January 24, 2011

Second time this year… we’re cleaning Marshall Street routinely and we’d love it if you joined us!

One neighbor said we were going to make him cry! This means as much to them as it does to us, volunteering to adopt the busy artery, or corridor, that is the great Marshall Street. We’ll be out there again in 2 weeks unless the Weather is too much, in which case it’ll be another week. Comment on a blog posting or find us out there between Noon and 2:00PM!

TALES FROM MARSHALL ST.

January 10, 2011

Our fourth time cleaning the streets took place Sunday, January 9th, 2011. Streets and sidewalks stretching from MCV to the Greater Richmond Convention Center were surprisingly clean, but Kendall, Gene, and Rocky biked and walked in the icy cold weather the to gather cans, cigarette butts, and damp newspapers.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We hope your 2011 is equally fun and safe.
